1/2 lemon juice

Recipe for Peachy Iced Green Tea from Spa Cuisine

Green tea may assist you in losing weight. Green tea increases metabolic rates and speeds up fat oxidation, according to clinical studies conducted by Dr. Abdul Dulloo of the University of Geneva in Switzerland. Green tea is also an excellent immune booster and anti-cancer agent, with flavonoids and polyphenols believed to inhibit tumor formation.

So here's our simple green tea recipe, but it tastes so good you'll never guess how good it is for you! For hot summer days, this is a great, healthy thirst quencher.

Simple Answer:

INGREDIENTS

6 teabags of green tea

6 cups ice water

2 pitted and sliced ripe peaches

1. Fill a large teapot or pitcher halfway with teabags.

2. Place sliced peaches in a saucepan, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil. Pour water and peaches over teabags.

3. Steep for 6 minutes before adding sweetener (maple syrup, honey or Succanat are recommended). Allow the tea to cool before refrigerating it until completely chilled.

4. Place a few peach slices in each glass and serve with a spoon, garnished with a mint sprig if desired.

Making a pitcher of green tea with the contents of a can of organic sliced peaches is an even easier alternative method. Allow to cool completely.

This recipe serves 6 people.
