Improperly formed LASIK flaps are one of the most common complications, while inflammation may develop in areas where the flap comes into contact with the eye. If there is any initial swelling in the eye, it may result in epithelial in growth, which is a type of scarring that leads to an irregular eye surface and other vision distortions.

Other common LASIK complications include dry eyes, infections, and night vision issues. Using better technology and more precise instruments can reduce the chances of a major LASIK complication, but these surgeries are not recommended for people who have a history of eye complications or infections.

Some people who have had LASIK surgery have experienced complications. However, if you work with an experienced surgeon, the risk of surgical complications is greatly reduced. Aside from common sense, one should base their decisions on the facts as reported by their treatment provider. The overall number of complications is reported to be less than 1%. The majority of reported issues are resolved through laser re-treatments or enhancements.

To understand the types of complications that people face, you must first understand what LASIK is all about. A laser beam is used during LASIK surgery to cut a very thin, hinged flap into the front of the eye. The flap is then lifted, and the laser is used to reshape the eye before being replaced to heal.

Improperly formed LASIK flaps are one of the most common types of LASIK complications: A patient may experience an improperly formed flap after the first surgery. This may result in an irregular surface and various vision defects. In such cases, LASIK surgery must be repeated one or more times to smooth out the eye surface.

Inflammation: Inflammation may develop in areas where the flap comes into contact with the eye. This is known as diffuse lamellar keratitis (DLK). It can cause symptoms such as light sensitivity and vision loss.

If there is any initial swelling in the eye, it may result in a common LASIK complication known as epithelial in growth. This condition is best described as a type of scarring that leads to an irregular eye surface and other vision distortions. In this case, the surgeon lifts the flap and scrapes the epithelial growth from within. This is far from a foolproof method. It has been observed that epithelial in growth recurs in many cases.

Other common LASIK complications include dry eyes, infections, and night vision issues such as glare around lights.

Many trained surgeons believe that using better technology and more precise instruments can reduce the chances of a major LASIK complication. These surgeries are not recommended for people who have a history of eye complications or infections.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-82003180493013040482023-02-24T01:17:00.003-08:002023-02-24T01:17:32.793-08:00Eczema Treatment: Conventional vs. Natural

Eczema is a skin inflammation that is often associated with allergic conditions like asthma and hay fever. It causes lesions that appear as patches, blisters, and/or scratches on the affected areas, and is more common on the face, elbows, behind the knees, and wrists. The most common conventional treatment for eczema is corticoid creams containing hydrocortisone, which reduce inflammation, swelling, redness, and itching, but can cause skin thinning and damage.

Hydrocortisone can accumulate in the body and cause metabolic changes in salt and water balance, potassium and calcium balance, and blood sugar level. Corticosteroid creams must be applied with a low dose of hormone and for a short period of time, and herbal therapy is a gentle but long-lasting eczema treatment option. Antioxidant therapy has been used successfully in the prevention and treatment of various skin diseases, and it is safer for the skin and overall health.

Eczema is a skin inflammation that is frequently associated with allergic conditions like asthma and hay fever. Eczema causes lesions that appear as patches, blisters, and/or scratches on the affected areas. Eczema-affected areas are extremely itchy and uncomfortable. The affected areas may thicken abnormally. Skin thickening can occur as a result of trauma to the patches caused by scratching and rubbing. In comparison to unaffected areas, affected areas will typically be dry. Eczema is more common on the face, elbows, behind the knees, and wrists than on other parts of the body.

One of the major causes of eczema is an imbalance in a person's immune function, which is most likely a reaction to environmental substances such as dust, pollution, yeast, cosmetic products, chemicals such as detergents, oils, greases, and solvents at home or at work. Furthermore, stress can cause a depletion of certain body nutrients (vitamins and minerals), which can lead to eczema sensitivity.

The most common conventional treatment for eczema is corticoid creams containing hydrocortisone. Hydrocortisone is a natural hormone secreted by the adrenal gland that controls inflammation and actively participates in ionic body balance. Hydrocortisone creams work well to reduce inflammation, swelling, redness, and itching, allowing the affected area to heal. Despite temporarily alleviating the symptoms of eczema, these creams can cause skin thinning and damage. When taken in high or low doses for an extended period of time, hydrocortisone can accumulate in the body and cause metabolic changes in salt and water balance, potassium and calcium balance, and blood sugar level. There are numerous reasons for accumulation.

One important cause is competition for the same receptors by naturally secreted hormone and topical hydrocortisone, which can raise the uncoupled hormone level. Another important factor is the hormone's steroid structure, which makes elimination via the kidney difficult. Corticosteroid creams must be applied with a low dose of hormone and for a short period of time, as indicated on the label. On the other hand, abrupt discontinuation of the corticosteroid cream can worsen the eczema.

Herbal therapy is a gentle but long-lasting eczema treatment option. Many herbs, including Burdock, Calendula, St. John Wort, Chamomile, Chickweed, Yarrow, Nettle, and Licorice, are known to be beneficial in the treatment of eczema. They can be consumed as teas, tinctures, or applied topically.

Because eczema is a complex skin disease, one herb will not be enough to alleviate symptoms or cure the disease. A complex combination of beneficial herbs is more likely to be effective in treatment.

Antioxidant therapy has been used successfully in the prevention and treatment of various skin diseases, which are typically characterized by a high percentage of free radicals at the affected sites. Sea buckthorn and grape seed oils are two examples of natural antioxidants. They contain a variety of antioxidants, including vitamin E, A, C, selenium, beta carotene, and anthocyanidins, which can help with eczema and other skin disorders.

Finally, while the natural alternative may take longer than the conventional solution for eczema treatment, it is much safer for the skin and overall health.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-85757765968933423692023-02-21T00:55:00.004-08:002023-02-21T00:55:28.545-08:00About Contact Lenses

The purchasing power of today's working population is in their hands and they prefer to look good and enjoy being admired by others. They prefer to look good and enjoy being admired by others. Simplicity itself is no longer simple, as emerging fashion trends have demonstrated. The latest fashion statements include matching the eye color to the clothes worn or increasing the face value by changing the tone of the eyes to match the skin tone. Women nowadays are not afraid to experiment with different eye colors such as grey, blue, green, orange, and many others. Different eye colors, for them, represent boldness and a carefree attitude that can be easily flaunted.

The most important and probably the most tedious work is that of cleaning the contact lenses. Cleaning them has become easier thanks to manufacturers today, with new cleaning solutions flooding the market. However, this does not in any way imply that you are careless with your lenses. Because the eye is a sensitive area, it is essential to be cautious of anything and everything that is associated with it. Cleaning and protecting the lenses of women who wear makeup is made even more difficult.

Certain precautions must be taken by women who wear eye makeup. Here are a few tips for making your eyes feel and look good without putting makeup in your contacts. Make sure you thoroughly wash your hands before putting contact lenses in your eyes. This will prevent you from transferring dirt and germs to the contact lens. You must wear your lenses before applying eye make up this helps avoiding the transfer of any creams, oils and lotions to the lens. Make an effort to use non-allergic makeup. There are numerous brands on the market that provide eye-friendly products. Cream eye shadow is preferable to powder eye shadow because it does not fall into the eyes as easily as the latter. Even creams, if they get into your eyes, can be irritating. Water-based creams are preferable to oil-based creams. If you must use powder, close your eyes and brush the excess powder away before opening them. This way, you can keep it out of your eyes and protect your lenses. When wearing contact lenses, eye liner should be applied to the outside of the eyes rather than the inside. If you must use mascara, make sure to apply it carefully over your lashes and avoid getting the brush into your contact lenses. To remove eye makeup, thoroughly wash your hands and carefully remove your contact lenses without touching any makeup. Now, remove it with your eye makeup remover.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-16387094768738623582023-02-17T18:23:00.018-08:002023-02-17T18:23:00.182-08:00A Sure Way To Get Rid Of Your Back Ache Problem

I understand how awful it can be for you at night and even when you wake up. The burning back pain you're experiencing can be a major issue.

The burning back pain you're experiencing can be a major issue, and there are solutions that can help to prevent future causes and solve the current back pain. There are numerous allergy relief medications on the market, but it is important to identify the allergy remedy that best matches your symptoms and needs. Home remedies, allergy medication, environmental changes, and a consultation with an allergist are all options. Home remedies are used before allergy medications became available, but some are effective. Allergy medications are available over the counter, and nasal sprays are also an effective allergy treatment.

Environmental changes include washing bedding in hot water, using mattress and pillow covers, keeping home clean, and vacuuming carpets. If severe allergies are not controlled by over-the-counter allergy medications, consult your doctor or allergist.

Are you one of the millions of people who suffer from allergies? Do you want to learn about allergy treatments? If you suffer from the distressing effects of allergies on a regular basis, it's past time to find an effective allergy remedy. There are numerous allergy relief medications on the market.

To effectively treat your allergies, you must first identify the allergy remedy that best matches your symptoms and needs. When looking for an allergy treatment, you have several options. Home remedies, allergy medication, environmental changes, and a consultation with an allergist are all options.

Let us begin with home remedies. Home allergy remedies were used before allergy medications became available in the medical field. Many home remedies should be avoided. Many of these remedies are based on folklore.

However, there are some home remedies that are effective. For example, if you have a pollen allergy, you can reduce its effects by washing your clothes and hair when you get home. Make sure to do this before going to bed to avoid spreading pollen onto your bedding.

Allergy medications are an excellent allergy treatment. Antihistamine pills, lotions, and ointments are available over the counter. If you have a chronic allergy, you can ask your doctor for a stronger prescription allergy medication. Nasal sprays are also an effective allergy treatment. They work directly on your nasal passageways to treat allergies.

As an allergy treatment, you can make a few environmental changes. To get rid of dust mites, wash your bedding in hot water. To combat dust mites, use mattress and pillow covers. Keep your home clean and vacuum your carpets.

If you have severe allergies that are not controlled by over-the-counter allergy medications, consult your doctor or allergist. They can guide you through a series of allergy tests and advise you on the best treatment options for your specific situation. This may entail removing the allergy trigger from your environment, such as your food plate or clothing drawer. They can prescribe allergy medication to eliminate your allergy completely.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-13523733448687643392023-02-09T04:19:00.003-08:002023-02-09T04:19:33.586-08:00A New Direction In Weight Control Gastric Bypass Surgery

For patients who suffer from severe obesity and its associated medical complications, weight loss surgery can be a viable option. There are two common surgical procedures to achieve this goal: gastric bypass and gastroplasty. Both procedures involve reducing the size of the stomach to a pouch that is smaller than an egg, which greatly restricts the amount of food that can be consumed in one sitting. These surgeries typically result in a 25 to 35 percent reduction in weight within the first year, with most of the weight loss being sustained for up to five years. Additionally, the serious medical conditions that accompany extreme obesity tend to significantly improve after surgery.

However, it's important to note that surgery is not without risks and should only be performed by experienced and skilled surgeons. Patients should also be provided with a comprehensive program for long-term weight control.

Following surgery, dietary modifications are necessary, as the limited gastric capacity and narrow anastomotic gastrointestinal stoma require a special approach to eating. There is no standard gastric bypass diet, but most patients typically start with a liquid diet due to the small and edematous gastric outlet.

This phase can last anywhere from one day to six weeks, followed by the introduction of pureed textures and gradually advancing to soft-textured foods by 12 weeks. Small, frequent meals rich in protein are encouraged, and liquids should be consumed between meals to facilitate the intake of calories and protein from solid foods. It's recommended to avoid carbonated drinks, tough meats, breads, and milk products as they may cause discomfort. Until solid food intake is sufficient, high-protein liquid supplements like sugar-free Carnation Instant Breakfast (mixed with low lactose milk if necessary) may be recommended.

During the first six to 12 months after surgery, patients usually consume between 900 to 1000 calories, with calorie consumption gradually increasing as the pouch size, stoma size, gastric emptying rate, and solid food intake change. Sugary and highly concentrated sweets should be avoided to prevent dumping syndrome. The bypass of the pyloric sphincter causes simple sugars to be rapidly dumped into the small intestine, resulting in an increase in the osmotic load, fluid buildup, and symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, sweating, and abdominal cramps. Many patients may experience a perceived decrease in blood volume 30 minutes to an hour after a meal, which may prompt them to lie down to improve cardiac output.

On average, gastric bypass patients typically lose 50 to 75 percent of their excess body weight and are successful in maintaining their weight loss.

The obesity epidemic, especially among the morbidly obese, is growing rapidly in the United States. Traditional weight loss programs have been found to be ineffective in this population, so gastric bypass surgery may be an option to improve quality of life and decrease the comorbidities associated with obesity.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-56089625084140664202023-02-07T20:23:00.005-08:002023-02-07T20:23:50.172-08:00An Examination of Free Snoring Treatments

Free snoring treatments range from at-home remedies to experimental sleep studies. Almost every doctor, nurse, paramedic, and veterinarian employs a stethoscope during the course of a typical workday. Some doctors and hospitals prefer to get their stethoscopes on the cheap. Almost any type of stethoscope can be found at a low price. Discount stethoscopes can be obtained in a variety of ways. Many retailers discount older stethoscope models in order to make room for newer models. Many medical wholesalers offer low-cost stethoscopes in large quantities. Purchasing stethoscopes directly from manufacturers without paying the markup charged by retailers is frequently possible.

Stethoscopes are an important tool for healthcare professionals because they aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of various medical conditions. A high-quality stethoscope can make a significant difference in the accuracy of a diagnosis and a patient's overall health. Because of the growing demand for stethoscopes, the market is flooded with a plethora of options, ranging from high-end and expensive models to less expensive, budget-friendly alternatives. In this article, we'll look at cheap stethoscopes and what you should think about before buying one.

Understanding the Different Stethoscope Types

Before we delve into the world of cheap stethoscopes, it's critical to understand the various types of stethoscopes on the market. Acoustic and electronic stethoscopes are the two main types. Acoustic stethoscopes are traditional, analog devices that have been used for decades and continue to be widely used today. They function by amplifying sound via a combination of tubes and diaphragms, which is then heard by the healthcare professional via earpieces.

Electronic stethoscopes, on the other hand, are digital devices that use technology to amplify and filter sound. They have a microphone that picks up sound, which the device then processes and amplifies before sending it to the earpieces. Electronic stethoscopes are more expensive than acoustic stethoscopes, but they have several advantages, including improved sound quality, recording capabilities, and the ability to filter out background noise.

Considerations When Buying a Low-Cost Stethoscope

When it comes to buying a cheap stethoscope, there are several factors to consider in order to get the best value for your money. Here are a few of the most important considerations:

Audio Quality

The quality of sound produced by a cheap stethoscope is one of the most important factors to consider when purchasing one. It is important to remember that the primary function of a stethoscope is to amplify sound, and poor sound quality can lead to inaccurate diagnoses and even harm to the patient. When evaluating the sound quality of a low-cost stethoscope, listen to the sound produced by both the diaphragm and the bell, as this will give you a good idea of the overall sound quality.

Fit and comfort

Another important consideration when purchasing a low-cost stethoscope is comfort and fit. Because stethoscopes are worn for extended periods of time, it is critical that they are comfortable and do not cause discomfort or pain. Look for stethoscopes with soft ear tips and flexible tubing that can bend to fit your neck and chest shape.

Durability

Durability is an important factor to consider when purchasing a cheap stethoscope. A high-quality stethoscope should be made of durable materials and able to withstand daily use without breaking or malfunctioning. Look for stethoscopes made of long-lasting materials, such as stainless steel, and with a good warranty or return policy.

Price

Of course, when it comes to purchasing a cheap stethoscope, price is a major consideration. While it is important to get the most bang for your buck, keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Be wary of extremely low-cost stethoscopes, as they may be made of low-quality materials and have poor sound quality.

Stethoscopes can quickly become obsolete. With recent advancements in electronic stethoscope technology, new features are always available. While many doctors prefer the most recent and advanced stethoscopes, many others recognize that older stethoscopes still work well. It is fairly common to come across stethoscope dealers who sell older models at a discount in order to make room in their inventories for the latest models. For example, because electronic stethoscopes have become more popular, it is now possible to find high-end acoustic stethoscopes at lower prices.

Medical wholesalers provide hospitals and clinics with large quantities of stethoscopes at a low cost. These sellers realize that selling a large number of discounted stethoscopes will net them more money than selling fewer stethoscopes at a higher price.

Many stethoscope manufacturers sell their products to healthcare professionals directly. This allows buyers to avoid purchasing from retailers who mark up prices to make more profit, and it allows stethoscope manufacturers to build a reputation for their products through word of mouth.

Discount stethoscopes are just as dependable and precise as more expensive models. There is no reason to believe that discount stethoscopes are of lower quality than full-priced stethoscopes.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-49530376238191954042023-02-05T02:32:00.004-08:002023-02-05T02:32:53.722-08:00An Examination of Allergy Products

Do allergy medications actually work? There are many specialty products available, and if you look hard enough, you can find products for every room in the house and practically every part of your body. HEPA air filters and vacuum cleaner filters; 100% pure cotton bedding and pillows; masks for work, play, and home; cleaning supplies; cases to stuff your mattresses in; throat moisturizers; cosmetics; dehumidifiers; washable toys; the list goes on and on.

Allergies are a common health problem that affect millions of people worldwide. Allergy symptoms can range from mild to severe, and can impact daily activities, sleep, and quality of life. To help manage allergies, there is a wide range of allergy products available on the market, including over-the-counter medications, air purifiers, and bedding products.

One popular type of allergy product is over-the-counter (OTC) medications. These include antihistamines, decongestants, and nasal sprays, which help to relieve symptoms such as itching, sneezing, and runny nose. Antihistamines, for example, block the effects of histamine, which is a chemical that triggers allergy symptoms. Decongestants, on the other hand, help to reduce nasal congestion by narrowing the blood vessels in the nasal passages.

Another type of allergy product is air purifiers. These devices remove allergens from the air, such as dust, mold, and pet dander, which can trigger allergy symptoms. Air purifiers come in a variety of sizes and designs, and can be used in homes, offices, and other indoor environments. Some air purifiers use HEPA filters, which can trap even the smallest particles, while others use activated carbon filters to remove odors and other harmful pollutants.

In addition to air purifiers, bedding products are also a popular type of allergy product. Mattress covers, pillow covers, and bed sheets can help to protect against allergens that can accumulate in bedding, such as dust mites and pet dander. Bedding products are designed to be hypoallergenic, and can be made from materials such as microfiber or allergen-resistant fabrics.

When choosing allergy products, it is important to consider your specific needs and preferences. For example, if you have pet allergies, you may want to choose a high-quality air purifier that is specifically designed to remove pet dander from the air. If you suffer from allergies while sleeping, you may want to invest in hypoallergenic bedding products.

Allergies can have a significant impact on daily life, but with the right allergy products, symptoms can be managed and controlled. From OTC medications and air purifiers, to bedding products, there is a wide range of options available to help relieve symptoms and improve quality of life. By carefully considering your needs and preferences, you can find the right allergy products to help you manage your allergies effectively.

If you look on the Internet, you'll find pages and pages of websites selling allergy products in all shapes and sizes and at all price points. Allergy products are big business, and to allergy sufferers, they appear to be the answer to all of their problems.

If you suffer from allergies, you may be tempted to purchase allergy products. Before you do, keep in mind that the answer to whether or not any of these products work is a little more complicated than it appears on the surface.

Before you pull out your credit card, you should address a few allergy-related issues. Otherwise, the allergy products you choose may not be as effective as you had hoped. First and foremost, ensure that you are aware of what you are allergic to. Are you allergic to dog dander, dust mites, food, grass, or something else? That's fantastic that you know. If you don't, you might want to start with a series of allergy tests to figure out who your nemesis is.

Once you've determined what you're allergic to, you should spend some time reading the descriptions of allergy products before purchasing any. Why? Because the allergy products you are considering may not be designed to alleviate the allergens that are causing your problems. An air filter, for example, is designed to remove airborne allergens, which are those that spend the majority of their time suspended in the air, such as pet dander.

Dust mite droppings are only in the air for a short period of time, either when they are released or when a vacuum cleaner stirs them up from their resting place on the ground. If you are allergic to dust mites, an expensive air filter will not help you. A casing to enclose your mattress or pillows, on the other hand, will, as these are designed to keep allergens from coming into contact with you.

Returning to air filters, most are ineffective in dealing with plant-based allergens, despite the fact that these are classified as airborne allergens. In the case of ragweed, grass clippings, and other irritants, it is preferable to keep them out of the house entirely by closing doors and windows and running an air conditioner.

Are you getting a sense of what it takes to choose the best allergy products? When in doubt, the best advice is to consult with your allergist about allergy products. You're more likely to get an accurate, unbiased answer to your allergy product questions.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-61785453352084717532023-02-03T18:03:00.002-08:002023-02-03T18:03:05.504-08:00Understanding the Importance of Regular Visits to the Doctor's Office

Understanding the Importance of Regular Visits to the Doctor's Office. By preparing for your appointment, being honest and open with your doctor, and making a commitment to regular check-ups, you can take control of your health and ensure that you receive the best possible care. So why wait? Book your appointment today and start taking control of your health and well-being!

Do you ever wonder why the receptionist always asks for your insurance card when you go to the doctor? I certainly do. I've been going to the same doctor for ten years, so they should know who I am or have a copy of my insurance card. Have you ever read the sign that says payment due when services are rendered, only to have the lady ask you for your co-payment before you've even sat down? Or how about after sitting in the waiting room for a long time, they call you back just to take your blood pressure and then send you back out? Or they call you back only to make you wait in another location.

I've always thought this was a ruse to make you think you're getting somewhere when you're not. What if, while you're waiting, your doctor happens to notice you and does everything he can to avoid making eye contact with you, or if you do, they act as if you're a complete stranger. How about that study I heard about, in which the average time spent with the doctor is about three minutes? Then I have to ask myself why I am taking so long in the waiting room. Or how about the one where the pharmaceutical rep walks in and asks for the Doctor and is told to come back? I suppose those free game tickets or the free spa day are more important than my health. These are just a few of the mysteries I've never solved when visiting the doctor.

Those were the days. Knowing what medications I need each month and knowing my diagnosis ahead of time, ordering prescription medications online is the way of the future. I have a consultation with a US physician if I need pain medication. I get a 90-day supply of pain reliever. The initial prescription is filled, as well as two refills that can be filled on the 25th day. The same is true for my anxiety treatment. All medications are prescribed by US doctors and filled by US pharmacies. There are medications such as hydrocodone, Vicodin, Lortab, and Xanax available. When I receive other non-controlled medications for my migraine headaches, high cholesterol, occasional depression, and a few other meds, I receive a free consultation from a U.S. Physician and have my prescriptions filled by a U.S. Pharmacy.

These medications are typically shipped via overnight delivery. With this service available, an increasing number of people are turning to the internet for their medication needs. Why wait hours in a doctor's office, pay exorbitant office visit fees, and be treated like a number rather than a person when you can have the medications you require delivered to your door at a great low price? With so many people losing their healthcare benefits and insurance, more people will order their medications online. So the days of going to the doctor's office to get prescriptions are numbered. Radial keratotomy (RK) is a refractive surgical procedure used to correct nearsightedness or myopia. Radial Keratotomy was discovered by chance rather than through extensive research. Dr. Svyatoslav Fyodorov discovered the procedure while operating on one of his patients who had been in a bicycle accident. The boy was wearing eyeglasses, which broke on impact and lodged in his eyes. To extract the glass, the doctor had to make several radial incisions in the corneal tissue. When the boy's cornea healed, the doctor discovered that his vision had significantly improved.

Radial keratotomy (RK) involves making a series of micro-fine incisions in the outer portion of the cornea with a high-precision calibrated diamond knife. Because the incisions are superficial and the procedure is relatively painless, the surgeon uses a local anesthetic. Prior to surgery, the corneal thickness of the patient's eye is measured. The diamond-edged cutting instrument is precisely set under the operating microscope before making the incisions. RK can easily correct myopia or nearsightedness by flattening the curvature of the cornea in this manner.

Radial keratotomy was first used in the 1980s in the United States. Initially, it was primarily an experimental procedure, with doctors operating on only one eye at a time and waiting at least three months to observe the results before operating on the other eye. However, as the surgeons gained experience, they were able to operate on both eyes at the same time. Radial keratotomy is now a minor procedure that takes about 15 to 20 minutes per eye.

Radial keratotomy is constantly improving, thanks in large part to rapid technological advances and the fact that a number of such procedures have already been performed successfully. RK, on the other hand, is not as precise as LASIK and PRK. Because RK is less predictable, only a few surgeons now perform it.

Radial Keratotomy (RK) is a surgical procedure that was once commonly used to treat nearsightedness (myopia). During RK, a surgeon made small, radial incisions in the cornea of the eye to reshape it and improve the focus of light on the retina.

RK was popular in the 1980s and 1990s, but has since fallen out of favor for several reasons. First, the introduction of other surgical procedures, such as LASIK, provided patients with safer and more effective options for correcting nearsightedness. Second, advances in contact lenses and eyeglasses have made these methods a more convenient alternative to surgery.

It's important to note that RK can cause some long-term side effects, including corneal instability, decreased visual acuity, and an increased risk of corneal haze and other complications. For these reasons, RK is now rarely performed and is considered an outdated treatment for nearsightedness.

If you are considering a surgical option for correcting nearsightedness, it is best to consult with an eye care professional and discuss the latest, most effective treatments available.

Additionally, it's important to keep in mind that all surgical procedures come with some degree of risk and it is crucial to fully understand the potential benefits and drawbacks before making a decision.

There are newer, advanced surgical procedures available today, such as LASIK, PRK, and SMILE, that have been shown to be effective in correcting nearsightedness with fewer side effects and complications. These procedures use advanced technology to reshape the cornea and improve visual acuity.

It's also important to remember that surgical correction is not the right choice for everyone. In some cases, a combination of eyeglasses, contacts, or other non-surgical treatments may provide the best outcomes.

In conclusion, while RK was once a commonly used treatment for nearsightedness, it is now considered an outdated method and should only be considered as a last resort. Before making a decision about a surgical treatment, it is important to fully understand the potential risks and benefits and consult with a qualified eye care professional.

It's also important to have realistic expectations when considering a surgical procedure for nearsightedness. While the surgery may result in improved vision, it is not a guarantee that vision will be perfect, and you may still need to use glasses or contact lenses for certain activities, such as reading or driving at night.

Furthermore, while RK and other surgical procedures can correct nearsightedness, they do not prevent the progression of other common vision problems, such as presbyopia (the inability to focus on objects up close), or the development of age-related conditions, such as cataracts.

It's essential to take the time to weigh the potential benefits and risks of any surgical procedure and to choose a qualified and experienced surgeon. You should also have a thorough pre-operative evaluation, including a comprehensive eye exam and discussion of your goals and expectations, to ensure that the procedure is the right choice for you.

In conclusion, while RK was once a popular surgical option for correcting nearsightedness, it is now considered an outdated method. If you are considering a surgical treatment, it's important to fully understand the potential benefits and risks, consult with a qualified eye care professional, and have realistic expectations.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-74810847530575955012023-01-30T20:22:00.016-08:002023-01-30T20:22:00.170-08:00A Brief Ovierview Of Lasik Eye Surgery

LASIK, which stands for Laser-assisted In Situ Keratomileusis, is a type of refractive laser eye surgery performed by ophthalmologists to correct vision. The procedure is usually preferred over photorefractive keratectomy, or PRK, because it takes less time to recover and the patient feels less pain overall.

Dr. Jose Barraquer invented the first microkeratome, which was used to cut thin flaps in the cornea and alter its shape in 1960. Dr. Lucio Buratto and Dr. Ioannis Pallikaris invented LASIK surgery in 1990 as a fusion of two previous techniques. Drs.

Stephen Brint and Stephen Slade performed the first LASIK procedure in the US in 1991. Patients who wear soft contact lenses are usually instructed to remove them 7 to 10 days before surgery. The surfaces of the patient's corneas are examined with a computer-controlled scanning device prior to surgery to determine their exact shape. The surgeon uses this information to calculate the amount and location of corneal tissue to be removed during the operation. Lasik surgery is done in two stages: the first is to form a flap of corneal tissue and the second is to remodel the corneal stroma using an excimer laser (193 nm).

When the flap is lifted in the second step, the patient's vision will become blurry and they will only see white light surrounding the laser's orange light. The surgeon repositions the Lasik flap over the treatment area after the laser has reshaped the cornea and natural adhesion holds the flap in place until healing is complete.

Dr. Jose Barraquer (Colombia) invented the first microkeratome, which was used to cut thin flaps in the cornea and alter its shape in a procedure known as keratomileusis around 1960. The world-renowned Barraquer Clinic in Bogota, Colombia, developed and pioneered this procedure.

Dr. Lucio Buratto (Italy) and Dr. Ioannis Pallikaris (Greece) invented LASIK surgery in 1990 as a fusion of two previous techniques, keratomileusis and photorefractive keratectomy. It quickly gained popularity due to its higher precision and lower frequency of complications when compared to the previous two techniques.

Drs. Stephen Brint and Stephen Slade performed the first LASIK procedure in the United States in 1991. The same year, Drs. Thomas and Tobias Neuhann used an automated microkeratome to successfully treat the first German LASIK patients.

Patients who wear soft contact lenses are usually instructed to remove them 7 to 10 days before surgery. According to one industry body, patients who wear hard contact lenses should stop wearing them for at least six weeks, plus another six weeks for every three years.

The surfaces of the patient's corneas are examined with a computer-controlled scanning device prior to surgery to determine their exact shape. It creates a topographic map of the cornea using low-power lasers.

This procedure also detects astigmatism and other irregularities in the cornea's shape. The surgeon uses this information to calculate the amount and location of corneal tissue to be removed during the operation. To reduce the risk of infection after the procedure, the patient is usually prescribed an antibiotic to begin taking before the procedure.

The patient is awake and mobile during the procedure; however, a mild sedative (such as Valium or diazepam) and anesthetic eye drops are usually administered.

Lasik surgery is done in two stages. The first step is to form a flap of corneal tissue. A mechanical microkeratome with a metal blade or a femtosecond laser microkeratome that creates a series of tiny closely arranged bubbles within the cornea are used for this procedure. One end of this flap has a hinge. The flap is retracted, exposing the stroma, or middle section of the cornea. Lifting and folding back the flap can be a painful process.

The corneal stroma is remodelled using an excimer laser (193 nm) in the second step of the procedure. By releasing the molecular bonds that hold cells together, the laser vaporizes tissue in a finely controlled manner without damaging adjacent stroma. To ablate the tissue, no heat or actual cutting is required. The tissue layers removed are tens of micrometers thick.

When the flap is lifted in the second step, the patient's vision will become very blurry. He or she will only see white light surrounding the laser's orange light. This can be perplexing.

Excimer lasers currently on the market employ a computer system that tracks the patient's eye position up to 4,000 times per second, redirecting laser pulses for precise placement. The surgeon repositions the Lasik flap over the treatment area after the laser has reshaped the cornea. Natural adhesion holds the flap in place until healing is complete.

Laser ablation in the deeper corneal stroma usually results in faster visual recovery and less pain.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-37326367253797010122023-01-29T17:08:00.015-08:002023-01-29T17:08:00.174-08:00An Overview of Hip Replacement Surgery

Hip replacement is a medical procedure in which a synthetic implant replaces the hip joint. It is the most successful, least expensive, and least dangerous type of joint replacement surgery. The femoral head was replaced with ivory in the first recorded attempts at hip replacement, and artificial hips became more common in the 1930s. John Charnley's Low Friction Arthroplasty design was the most widely used in the world, and Dr. San Baw pioneered the use of ivory hip prostheses to replace ununited fractures of the neck of the femur.

In 1969, Dr. San Baw presented a paper titled "Ivory hip replacements for ununited fractures of the neck of the femur" at the British Orthopeadic Association conference in London. His patients, ranging in age from 24 to 87, were able to walk, squat, ride a bicycle, and play football a few weeks after their fractured hip bones were replaced with ivory prostheses, resulting in an 88% success rate.

Several evolutionary improvements have been made in the total hip replacement procedure and prosthesis over the last decade, such as ceramic rather than polyethylene, metal-on-metal implants, and bone cement for the femoral component. The most recent advancements are Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) approaches, which may result in significantly less soft tissue damage and a faster recovery, and computer assisted orthopedic surgery (C.A.O.S). Hip surface replacement (HSR), also known as hip resurfacing, is an alternative to total hip replacement (THR).

It involves amputating the end of the femur and inserting a metal shank into the femur, and replacing the outer surface of the femoral ball with a cylindrical metal cap. Resurfacing preserves bone stock in the event of a revision and has a larger diameter ball and socket structure, lowering the risk of dislocation and improving range of motion.

In age-matched patients, ten-year success rates of hip resurfacing from studies in England are equal to or greater than standard total hip replacement. Before undergoing hip replacement surgery, patients should be aware of all surgical options and use a variety of surgical techniques.

Hip replacement is a medical procedure in which a synthetic implant replaces the hip joint. It is the most successful, least expensive, and least dangerous type of joint replacement surgery. The femoral head was replaced with ivory in the first recorded attempts at hip replacement, which were performed in Germany.

In the 1930s, the use of artificial hips became more common; the artificial joints were made of steel or chrome. They were thought to be superior to arthritis, but they had a number of drawbacks. The main issue was that the articulating surfaces could not be lubricated by the body, which caused wear and loosening and necessitated the replacement of the joint (known as revision operations).

Teflon attempts resulted in joints that caused osteolysis and wore out within two years. Infection was another major issue. Prior to the discovery of antibiotics, joint surgery carried a high risk of infection. Even with antibiotics, infection is still a factor in some revision surgeries. These infections are not always the result of surgery; they can also occur as a result of bacteria entering the bloodstream during dental treatment.

John Charnley's work at the Manchester Royal Infirmary in the field of tribology resulted in a design that completely replaced the other designs by the 1970s. Charnley's design consisted of three parts: (1) a metal (originally Stainless Steel) femoral component, (2) an Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene acetabular component, and (3) special bone cement. Synovial fluid was used to lubricate the replacement joint, which was known as the Low Friction Arthroplasty.

The small femoral head (22.25mm) caused wear issues, making it only suitable for sedentary patients, but a significant reduction in resulting friction led to excellent clinical results. For more than two decades, the Charnley Low Friction Arthroplasty design was the most widely used in the world, far outpacing the other options (like McKee and Ring).

Dr. San Baw (29 June 1922 - 7 December 1984), a Burmese orthopaedic surgeon, pioneered the use of ivory hip prostheses to replace ununited fractures of the neck of the femur ('hip bones'), when he first used an ivory prosthesis to replace the fractured hip bone of an 83-year-old Burmese Buddhist nun, Daw Punya. Dr. San Baw was the chief of orthopaedic surgery at Mandalay General Hospital in Mandalay, Burma. From the 1960s to the 1980s, Dr. San Baw used over 300 ivory hip replacements.

In September 1969, he presented a paper titled "Ivory hip replacements for ununited fractures of the neck of the femur" at the British Orthopeadic Association conference in London. Dr. San Baw's patients, ranging in age from 24 to 87, were able to walk, squat, ride a bicycle, and play football a few weeks after their fractured hip bones were replaced with ivory prostheses, resulting in an 88% success rate. Dr. San Baw's use of ivory was cheaper than metal, at least in Burma during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s (before the illicit ivory trade became rampant in the early 1990s).

Furthermore, it was discovered that there was a better 'biological bonding' of ivory with the human tissues nearby the ivory prostheses due to the physical, mechanical, chemical, and biological qualities of ivory. An excerpt from Dr. San Baw's paper, which he presented at the British Orthopaedic Association's Conference in 1969, appears in the February 1970 issue of the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (British edition).

Several evolutionary improvements have been made in the total hip replacement procedure and prosthesis over the last decade. Many hip implants are made of ceramic rather than polyethylene, which according to some research significantly reduces joint wear. Metal-on-metal implants are also becoming more popular. Some implants are joined without the use of cement; the prosthesis is given a porous texture to encourage bone growth. This has been shown to reduce the need for acetabular component revision. However, after 35 years of clinical experience, surgeons still frequently use bone cement for the femoral component, which has proven to be very successful.

The most recent advancements are several competing Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) approaches, which may result in significantly less soft tissue damage and a faster recovery. The implant manufacturers are also heavily marketing C.A.O.S (computer assisted orthopedic surgery), despite the fact that its value is largely unproven. Computer-assisted surgery is said to make prosthetic implantation easier.

Hip surface replacement (HSR), also known as hip resurfacing, is an alternative to total hip replacement (THR). A prosthetic socket is pressed into the pelvis with both THR and HSR. THR involves amputating the end of the femur, inserting a metal shank into the femur, and the shank holding a ball that mates with the socket. The end of the femur is not amputated during resurfacing; instead, the outer surface of the femoral ball is replaced with a cylindrical metal cap. The common THR problem of the metal shaft loosening from the femur is eliminated by resurfacing.

Resurfacing preserves bone stock in the event that a revision is required. A larger diameter ball and socket structure more closely resembles the natural joint structure, lowering the risk of dislocation and improving range of motion. There is no published clinical evidence that today's CoCr metal-on-metal articulating surfaces have the same osteolytic effect on bone as older polyethylene devices. In age-matched patients, ten-year success rates of hip resurfacing from studies in England are equal to or greater than standard total hip replacement. The first modern resurfacing device was approved by the FDA in the United States in May 2006, and approximately 90,000 resurfacings have been performed worldwide.

Before undergoing hip replacement surgery, patients should be aware of all surgical options. Hip surgeons use a variety of surgical techniques and achieve varying results. There are currently several incisions used to access your hip joint. The posterior approach (used by the vast majority of orthopedic surgeons) separates the gluteus maximus muscle in line with the muscle fibers to gain access to the hip joint. Other methods gain access to the hip joint from the lateral side. Unlike the posterior and lateral approaches, the anterior approach uses a natural gap between soft tissues to gain access to the hip joint. Its main drawbacks are that it risks damaging the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve and that it is not widely available to the general public because fewer surgeons have been trained in this technique.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-8794344691507908512023-01-28T14:05:00.012-08:002023-01-28T14:05:00.175-08:00An Overview of Anesthetics

Anesthetic use has been around for thousands of years, with the first recorded use occurring during the 'pre-history' era. Herbal anesthetics were used in prehistoric times, with the Sumerian Empire being the first to cultivate them. Opium poppies were introduced to India and China in 330 BC and 600 to 1200 AD, respectively. Other'solanum' plant species, including mandrake, henbane, and several datura species, were used as anesthetics in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Morphine was discovered in 1804, but was not widely used for nearly fifty years.

Anesthetic standardization was achieved prior to the nineteenth century by categorizing anesthetics according to the location in which they were grown. Diacetylmorphine, also known as heroin, was developed in 1874 as a morphine derivative. In 1898, Bayer marketed heroin, which was nearly twice as potent as morphine. Inhalant anesthetics were historically used by Muslim anesthesiologists, and their use was well known throughout the Islamic Empire. Carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide were both used in experimental surgical procedures during the nineteenth century.

Diethyl ether, an inhalant anesthetic, was first synthesized in 1540 by German physician Valerius Cordus. In the modern era, there are two types of modern anesthetics: general and local. Local anesthetics work by preventing nerve impulse transmission in the area where the anesthetic is administered, while general anesthetics are more akin to nitrous oxide in their mode of administration.

For thousands of years, anesthetics have been used. In fact, the first recorded use of anesthetics occurred during the 'pre-history' era, which predated written text.

Herbal Anesthetics' Early Applications

Herbal anesthetics were used in prehistoric times. Opium poppies have been harvested as early as 4200 BC, with the Sumerian Empire being the first to cultivate them. The first documented use of opium-based anesthetics was in 1500 BC, and by 1100 BC, civilizations in Cyprus and other locations were farming and harvesting the plants.

Opium poppies were introduced to India and China, respectively, in 330 BC and 600 to 1200 AD. Other types of herbal anesthetics were also in use in China at the time. Hua Tuo, a Chinese physician, is known to have used a cannabis-derived anesthetic to perform abdominal surgery in the second century.

Several other'solanum' plant species, including mandrake, henbane, and several datura species, were used as anesthetics in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Each of these has a strong tropane alkaloid. Opium and solanum-containing plants were used by prominent figures such as Hippocrates and Pliny the Elder during the classical Greek and Roman eras. The leaves of the coca plant (from which cocaine is derived) were widely used as an anesthetic in the Americas. Incan shamans used this method by chewing coca leaves and then spitting the leaves into wounds to administer a local anesthetic.

These types of herbal anesthetics were widely used for centuries, but they were not without drawbacks. One of the most difficult aspects of using herbal anesthetics was determining the proper dosage—too little had no effect, and too much often killed the patient. Anesthetic standardization was difficult, but it was accomplished to some extent prior to the nineteenth century by categorizing anesthetics according to the location in which anesthetic plants were grown.

Morphine's Discoverion

Friedrich Wilhelm, a German pharmacist, extracted morphine from the opium poppy in 1804, and named the compound morphium after the Greek god of sleep and dreams. Morphine, on the other hand, was not widely used for nearly fifty years. The hypodermic needle was invented in 1853, and the use of morphine increased dramatically as a result of this new method of administration. Morphine was widely used as an anesthetic at the time.

Diacetylmorphine, also known as heroin, was developed in 1874 as a morphine derivative. Beginning in 1898, Bayer marketed heroin, which was nearly twice as potent as morphine. However, due to the highly addictive nature of these substances, possession of morphine, heroin, and cocaine without a prescription was outlawed in the United States only 16 years later, in 1914.

Inhalant Anesthetics Development

Oral and inhalant anesthetics were historically used by Muslim anesthesiologists, and their use was well known throughout the Islamic Empire. Several hundred surgical procedures were carried out using sponges soaked in narcotic preparations and placed over the patient's face.

In the nineteenth century, one of the main keys to performing successful surgery in the Western world was the development of inhalant anesthetics, along with the use of sterile surgical techniques developed by Joseph Lister.

Carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide were both used in experimental surgical procedures during the nineteenth century. While carbon dioxide was never widely used as an anesthetic, nitrous oxide became extremely popular.

Humphry Davy, a British chemist, discovered nitrous oxide's anesthetic properties in a paper published in 1800. However, nitrous oxide did not become widely used until several decades later, in the 1840s. In 1846, American dentist William Thomas Green Morton performed one of the first successful uses of the gas for painless tooth extraction.

Diethyl ether, an inhalant anesthetic, was also used for tooth extraction during the same decade. Diethyl ether was first synthesized in 1540 by German physician Valerius Cordus; however, it was not until the 1840s that the first public demonstration of its use occurred. Chloroform had been developed a decade earlier, in the 1830s. This became more popular in the United Kingdom, but the dangers of both ether and chloroform were well-known.

Anesthetics in the Modern Era

There are two types of modern anesthetics: general and local. Lidocaine and procaine are examples of local anesthetics. These work by preventing nerve impulse transmission in the area where the anesthetic is administered. General anesthetics, on the other hand, are more akin to nitrous oxide in their mode of administration, and this inhalant anesthetic is still in use. Inhalation anesthetics are typically fluorochemicals (isoflurane, sevoflurane, and desflurane) with significantly lower flammability than diethyl ether, making them much safer to use in the operating room.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-84572738245271019162023-01-28T00:18:00.004-08:002023-01-28T00:18:43.850-08:0026 percent of Americans use the Internet to look for prescription drugs

26% of Americans use the Internet to look for prescription drugs, but only 4% have purchased them online due to a lack of trust in the online marketplace. 62% of Americans believe buying prescription drugs online is less safe than buying them at a local pharmacy, while 20% believe it is as safe as buying them locally. Some people believe that taking over-the-counter medications is the most effective way to get relief, while others believe that homeopathic remedies are the most effective. To avoid reinfection, place your toothbrush in a cup containing hydrogen peroxide and put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in your ears. When used as soon as possible after becoming ill, hydrogen peroxide is said to be most effective. Elderberry extract, Boneset, Oscillococcinum, Naturoksinum, and Echinacea are all natural flu remedies that can reduce the severity and duration of the flu.

Tamiflu and Relenza are two prescription medications that work best when taken within two days of the onset of flu symptoms. Consume health juices like mangosteen, noni, goji, aloe vera, and acai berry to help prevent the flu and boost the immune system. Mangosteen juice is my preferred health juice. Abra Bath for colds and flu is a product that helps relieve congestion, body aches, and chills. Sudacare Shower Soothers are tablets that produce vapors of eucalyptus, menthol, and camphor to relieve congestion.

Over-the-counter nasal sprays are available to help relieve flu symptoms. Acetaminophen or ibuprofen can help relieve pain. Throat lozenges or sprays can relieve discomfort. Rest is an essential part of fighting the flu. When you have the flu, drink as much fluid as possible, avoiding caffeine-containing beverages.

Clear juices, Gatorade, flavored water, and Pedialyte are good liquid choices. To treat flu symptoms, look for products that only treat the symptoms and do not over-medicate. If symptoms do not improve within a few days, contact your doctor.

The "best" flu remedy appears to differ depending on who you ask. Some people believe that taking over-the-counter medications is the most effective way to get relief. Others believe that homeopathic remedies are the most effective. Others believe that only their doctor can help them make the right decision.

My husband would tell you that the best flu remedy is to avoid getting the flu (he's not always the most helpful person). He speaks intelligently because he is rarely ill. I'm extremely envious of him. I believe his genes are superior to mine because he does not eat healthier or exercise more than I do, yet I am sick far more frequently than he is.

I get the flu almost every year. When I've had a bad case of the flu, I've tried over-the-counter medications, some homeopathic remedies, and I've gone to my doctor.

I've listed some common and not-so-common flu remedies below. Some of the remedies are homeopathic; others require the use of over-the-counter medications; and still others require a prescription.

1) This first item is more of a suggestion to avoid getting sick again than a remedy, but I think it's a great idea. To avoid reinfection, place your toothbrush in a cup containing hydrogen peroxide (especially if you have a cold). Toothbrushes are a breeding ground for bacteria, and hydrogen peroxide will kill the bacteria on your toothbrush. You could soak your toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide every day to kill bacteria that have accumulated.

2) In addition to soaking your toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide, put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in your ears. It can aid in the killing of flu (or cold) germs. The hydrogen peroxide can sting a little at times. Using a cotton ball or a Q-tip, place a few drops in one ear. Drain the excess fluid onto a Kleenex or paper towel after a few minutes. Then repeat the process in the other ear. After an hour or two, repeat the process. Repeat until the hydrogen peroxide does not bubble when placed in the ear (usually after 2 or 3 times). When used as soon as possible after becoming ill, hydrogen peroxide is said to be most effective.

3) According to Israeli research, elderberry extract can shorten the duration of the flu. Consult your doctor, pharmacist, or herbalist for instructions on how much and how often to take it, as well as to ensure that it will not interfere with any other medications or supplements you are currently taking.

4) Boneset is another herb that is said to reduce the severity and duration of the flu. It is typically mixed with boiled water, honey, and lemon (to make it easier to drink), and then sipped. Again, the recommended dosage should be discussed with your doctor, pharmacist, or herbalist.

5) Oscillococcinum is a common homeopathic/natural product used to treat flu symptoms such as body aches and pains, fever, and chills. One of the reasons it's so popular is that it doesn't make you sleepy.

6) Naturoksinum is yet another natural flu remedy. It is claimed to reduce the severity of flu symptoms by half. It is one of the most popular flu remedies in France and is also available in the US.

7) Echinacea is another popular natural flu remedy. Again, because it is a herbal product, consult with your doctor, pharmacist, or herbalist to ensure that it is safe for you to use and does not conflict with any other medications or supplements you are currently taking.

8) Tamiflu and Relenza are two prescription medications for flu treatment. Both medications work best when taken within two days of the onset of flu symptoms. Tamiflu and Relenza both work by preventing the flu virus from infecting healthy cells in the body, and they both work against influenza A and B.

9) Consume health juices like mangosteen, noni, goji, aloe vera, and acai berry. They are not only good juices to drink if you have the flu, but they can also help prevent it because they boost the immune system. Mangosteen juice is my preferred health juice. It tastes great and makes me feel better in general.

10) There are several products available to use in your bath or shower to help with flu symptoms. Abra Bath for colds and flu is a product that you add to your bath water. It is said to help relieve congestion, body aches, and the chills that come with the flu. Sudacare Shower Soothers are made by the same company that makes Sudafed. They are tablets that, when combined with warm shower water, produce vapors of eucalyptus, menthol, and camphor to relieve congestion.

11) Over-the-counter nasal sprays are available to help relieve flu symptoms. Flu Relief is one such product. However, nasal sprays are not as popular as most other remedies because many people dislike using them.

12) Common flu symptoms include fever, headaches, and aching muscles. Acetaminophen or ibuprofen, both of which are available over the counter, can help relieve pain.

13) When a person has the flu, they may have a persistent cough (http://www.microflu.com/flusymptoms/). To help quiet a cough caused by the flu, there are many over-the-counter cough medicines available, such as Robitussin (which has specific formulas of its products to help with flu symptoms).

14) Congestion is another symptom associated with the flu. A decongestant taken orally can help relieve congestion. Again, many over-the-counter products are available to combat flu symptoms such as congestion. Congestion can also be relieved with Vick's vapor rub.

15) Another vexing symptom of the flu is a sore throat. Throat lozenges or sprays can relieve discomfort. When my throat hurts, I gargle with warm salt water every hour. It's a remedy my mother used when I was younger. It worked for me back then, and it still does.

16) Rest is an essential part of fighting the flu. Your body requires rest in order to fight the infection. So give in to the desire to curl up under the covers and sleep. You'll probably feel better sooner if you do.

17) When you have the flu, drink as much fluid as you can. Caffeine-containing beverages should be avoided because they act as mild diuretics. Water is the best liquid, but it can be difficult for someone who is sick to drink enough of it. Clear juices, Gatorade (or any of the other sports drinks available), flavored water, and Pedialyte are also good liquid choices. When I was a kid and got the flu, my mother would always give me 7-up to drink. I could drink it without feeling sick to my stomach, and it tasted good enough that I drank enough of it to stay hydrated.

Always keep in mind that the flu (depending on which strain you have) can be a potentially fatal illness if not treated properly. If your symptoms do not improve within a few days or if they are severe, do not be afraid to contact your doctor.

Another thing to remember when you have the flu (or any other illness) is to only treat the symptoms. To treat flu symptoms, there are numerous over-the-counter medications available. Many of these products provide relief from multiple symptoms. However, you may not have all of the symptoms that a specific medication treats. Look for products that only treat the symptoms you're experiencing. You do not want to over-medicate.

This article is intended for educational purposes only and is not intended to diagnose or treat illness or disease, nor is it intended to provide medical advice.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-57223899997097242332023-01-22T19:46:00.003-08:002023-01-22T19:47:19.319-08:0010 Ways to Put an End to Insomnia

One-third of the world's population suffers from insomnia at some point in their lives. Unwinding

Before going to bed, take some time to unwind. Deep breathing exercises and soft music are recommended. Caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine should be avoided, according to Dr. Timothy Sharp of Sydney University.

2. Bedtime ritual

Create a bedtime routine to signal to your body that it is time to sleep. By slowing down your physical activities and sticking to a routine before bed, your body will begin to associate some of these activities with falling asleep. Begin with a cup of warm milk. Milk contains tryptophan, a protein that aids in the promotion of sleep. This can be replaced with chamomile tea, which is known to relax the nervous system. Following this, take a hot bath or shower; the heat will help to lower your internal body temperature, signaling your body to sleep once more.

3. Your bedroom is only for sleeping.

Make your bedroom your sleeping quarters. As soon as you get into bed, turn off the lights. Do not read, eat, or watch television in your bedroom, or engage in any activity that is not related to sleep. Make the room dark and cozy, and add extra pillows and teddy bears to the bed. Make your bedroom a sleep sanctuary, a place where you will feel safe and comfortable, and most importantly, a place where you will want to sleep.

4. Relax and clear your mind.

Clear your mind of the day's activities or tasks that must be completed tomorrow. Make a 'to do' list for the next day. Prepare uniforms, lunches, and so on the night before. Make your plans ahead of time to avoid stress.

5. Make time for yourself

Instead of trying to cram as much as possible into the day only to discover that you haven't left much time for sleep, look for shortcuts or solutions to give yourself some time back. Make a double batch of casserole and save half for another night. As you go, spot clean the house. Use paper plates at more barbecues (less washing-up). Offer to pay the kids, or the kids of your neighbors, to do some extra chores.

6. A balanced diet contributes to a balanced mind.

Your body cannot function properly if you are deficient in essential vitamins and minerals. Get rid of the junk food and fizzy drinks and start fresh with good physical and mental health. Add some regular exercise to your routine and watch your body respond with better sleep.

7. Do not lie in bed if you are unable to sleep.

If you don't feel sleepy enough to fall asleep, your mind will most likely be troubled by the fact that you can't sleep. Each time you experience this, it will become more difficult to sleep. Get out of bed and go to another room. Distract yourself until you begin to feel sleepy, and then try to sleep again later.

8. Medications may disrupt your sleep.

Some of the medications listed below have been linked to sleep issues. If you have insomnia and are taking any of the following medications, consult your doctor: amphetamines (diet pills), antidepressants, beta blockers (heart and blood pressure), cimetidine (ulcers), clonidine (blood pressure), cortisone, diuretics (fluid), levodopa (parkinsons), methyldopa (blood pressure), and ventolin (asthma).

Above all, de-stress.

According to Sharp, the most common cause of insomnia is stress. Use some of the techniques listed above to try to eliminate as much stress as possible from your life, and you will be able to put your insomnia to rest.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-64323115828323167812023-01-18T22:06:00.011-08:002023-01-18T22:06:00.181-08:0010 Things You Absolutely Must Consider Before Buying Your Massage Chair
The massage chair recliner has quickly become a great substitute for traditional therapy. Traditional massage chairs only provided vibration. Today's chairs should include the following features:. Kneading - also known as "shiatsu," kneading rolls outward from the spine and feels similar to two hands rubbing your back alternately. A massage chair should be capable of more than rolling up and down the spine.

It should provide gentle movement of the spinal bones; and stretching of the spine and surrounding muscles. A well-made chair should provide you with many years of trouble-free pleasure. A longer warranty will give you more confidence when shopping for a chair. Be wary of long warranties that are so limited that if something goes wrong, there are loopholes to not cover your chair. Is the manufacturer well-known?

Are they easily accessible if a problem arises? How do you know?

When it comes to back pain, neck pain, buttock pain, headaches, and even leg pain and stress, the massage chair recliner has quickly become a great substitute for traditional therapy.

The vast majority of people looking for a massage chair are suffering from all or some of these symptoms. Massage chairs have been shown to help with all of these conditions. In fact, many of my patients who have purchased a massage chair have found that they need our clinic less and less for treatment of these common ailments.

Some people simply want a nice massage chair that looks nice in their living room or office and allows them to relax while listening to their surround sound movie or music system. That's fantastic as well!

However, if you are thinking about purchasing a massage chair recliner, there are a few things you should think about first. What I'm about to tell you will provide you with exactly what you require and desire. It is not as simple as sitting in a chair to determine whether a model is good or not. This report will point out many "behind the scenes" details that will help you make a more informed purchasing decision. You've probably considered some of them, such as price and appearance, but I'll go over some that you've probably never considered. This article is intended to clarify things for you before you spend your hard-earned money.

So, what should you know before purchasing a chair? We will only discuss the first two things you should think about because they cover a lot of ground. Part II of this topic will go over #3-10.

#1. Functions - Traditional massage chairs only provided vibration. Today's chairs, on the other hand, should include the following features:

Kneading - also known as "shiatsu," kneading rolls outward from the spine and feels similar to two hands rubbing your back alternately. This is why massage chairs are said to resemble the hands of a licensed massage therapist...kneading is the reason for the comparison.

Percussion/Tapping - this is the light "karate chopping" you've probably seen on TV on a client's back. That's exactly what this feature imitates. The benefit gained is increased blood flow and muscle stiffness relief. It feels fantastic.

Rolling - In our clinic, we have a $2800.00 "roller table" on which patients lie. Wheels simply roll up and down the muscles on either side of your spine. Here are some of the advantages: 1.) gentle movement of the spinal bones; and 2.) stretching of the spine and surrounding muscles. Patients love it...and the roller table only rolls! Your massage chair should be capable of much more than rolling (and for much less money!).

Foot and calf massager - Many new chairs include an attached ottoman with a calf and foot massage feature controlled by an airbag system. This feature is a must-have, especially if you spend a significant portion of your day on your feet.

Full recliner - If you want your massage to be as deep as possible, you should get a chair with reclining capabilities. And the greater the intensity of the massage, the further back you recline. The reclining position causes the massage to be deeper. Many chairs do not recline much further than 135o. For the more intense massage, you'll need 170 degrees or higher (by the way, the further back your chair reclines, men, the more it resembles a bed...especially important if you're ever forced to sleep on the couch!!).

#2. Durability - A well-made chair should provide you with many years of trouble-free pleasure. Even though you can't tell how good a motor is or how well the chair is built, there are some other indicators that a chair is a workhorse and will last a long time:

Warranty - A longer warranty will give you more confidence when shopping for a chair. You want a company that stands behind their products, and what better way to demonstrate that than with a warranty? However, be wary of long warranties that are so limited that if something goes wrong, there are so many loopholes to not cover your chair that it's as if you didn't have a warranty at all.

Reputation - Is the chair's manufacturer well-known? Are they easily accessible if a problem arises? How do you know? It would be ideal if the manufacturer had a toll-free customer service phone number. The length of time in business is most likely a good indicator of the manufacturer's quality. Is there any professional endorsement for the chair/company?

New vs. Used - There are many used chairs available, but as with a used car, you never know what you're getting. You can bet the warranty has expired, but you have no idea how the chair was treated by the previous owner. Who knows...maybe it was in a house where kids jumped on it like it was a trampoline (which is exactly what happens in my house!).
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-79199609683682689202023-01-17T22:06:00.003-08:002023-01-17T22:06:38.825-08:0010 Reasons For Eye Surgery Lasik
10 Reasons to Get Lasik! If you can get past the infomercials selling ab machines, diet supplements, and magic pills, you'll have a much better chance of seeing some real results and keeping your money.

There are no shortcuts in life, as there are in anything that requires hard work and desirable results. A task like this necessitates fundamental changes in how you live your life, as well as the substitution of bad habits for good ones.

Here are seven small lifestyle changes you can make to help you get rid of a beer gut:

1. Park your car a few blocks away from work, forcing you to walk the rest of the way every day to get some exercise in. If you take the bus or train try and get off a stop or 2 early (take a change of shoes for this) (take a change of shoes for this).

2. Avoid using lifts and escalators if you can take the stairs instead.

3. Replace coffee with green tea.

4. Remember the saying, "Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and supper like a pauper," but try to divide this into 5 or 6 meals rather than the usual 3.

7. Pay attention to how you sit at your desk or how you hold yourself throughout the day. Exercising your transverse abdominus is one of the best ways to develop a flat stomach. You do this by holding in your stomach (without holding your breath) (without holding your breath). Aim to improve your time every day by seeing how long you can hold it in.

Drawing your belly button into your spine is sometimes referred to as 'activating your core'. Set a calendar reminder to 'activate your core' several times a day if you work at a computer. Set your watch or phone alarm to remind you to do this if you do not work at a computer. You can tense your stomach muscles and draw your naval into your spine while sitting, standing, or in almost any situation.

If you incorporate these 7 tips into your daily routine, they will help you get rid of a beer gut in no time. Proper diet and exercise are also important, but it is possible to'multitask' and lose your beer gut while at work or even at play.

When you combine these routine changes with a solid exercise and diet plan, you'll see results much faster than you thought possible. A holistic dentist will always try to implement a balanced and progressive program for preserving your gums. Dental metals are responsible for 14% of the pollution in our oceans. Bite correction measures include the use of splints made of cutting-edge materials, as well as muscular adjustments within the mouth. Dentists emphasize the importance of regular brushing and flossing, especially after eating sweets.

Sugar cravings can be reduced or eliminated by following a few simple dietary guidelines. Patients should be aware of the ingredients to avoid in toothpaste and mouthwash. Organic, effective, and tasty home dental care alternatives are becoming increasingly available. Your holistic dentist can inform you about the various ways in which toxic ingredients can be found in personal care and cleaning products.

Utilization of Biocompatible Dental Materials: Let's face it, we live in a toxic world, so you don't want to increase your toxic load or stress your immune system with your dentistry. According to studies, at least 20% of dental patients develop sensitivity to dental materials at some point. Different types of testing will be available to your holistic dentist to determine which materials are appropriate for you.

Non-Painful and Natural Treatment of Gum Diseases: The only condition that can be called a disease in dentistry is periodontal (gum) disease. The media has recently focused on research indicating that the bacteria that causes gum disease is not only found in the mouth. When a patient has gum disease, the same bacteria can be found in their bloodstream, and they may also be present in cases of heart disease. The mouth is the portal to the body, and a healthy oral environment is essential for a strong heart in a healthy body. Any dental treatment is built on the foundation of your gums. Before recommending a more aggressive approach to your periodontal care, a holistic dentist will always try to implement a balanced and progressive program for preserving your gums.

Metal Filling Removal: It is critical that a strict protocol be followed whenever metal fillings need to be replaced. This includes tooth isolation to ensure that no metal particles end up in your mouth or, worse, are swallowed. You should be able to breathe clean air and oxygen, as well as any special filtration and a custom high speed vacuum unit.

Ideally, your holistic dentist will also have a filter to prevent the removed metal from entering the public water system. Dental metals are responsible for 14% of the pollution in our oceans. Bay Area dentists are actually required to use this type of filtration to protect San Francisco Bay's waters.

Bite and TMJ Problems: Prevention and Effective Treatment: Your holistic dentist understands that your mouth is the gateway to your body, not only internally but also structurally. The patient's bite alignment, as well as specific concerns such as jaw joint problems, must always be considered in the overall picture of dental treatment (TMJ). Bite evaluation is critical for treatment, not only for the head and jaw but also for the overall structure of the body.

Bite correction measures include the use of splints made of cutting-edge materials, as well as muscular adjustments within the mouth. In order to achieve the best results, your holistic dentist may sometimes work directly with a chiropractor.

Your bite must be at its best for your dental treatment to be successful: a relaxed and beautiful smile.

Adjunctive Support: Dentists have traditionally emphasized the importance of regular brushing and flossing, especially after eating sweets, for the maintenance of dental health. Your holistic dentist may emphasize the importance of healthy eating habits even more.

An alkaline, sugar-free diet, for example, is an important adjunct to preventive oral health. Sugar is well known to contribute to tooth decay. This is because the bacteria that cause decay feed and grow easily on sugar intake. An alkaline diet is also beneficial because the stresses of our world tend to cause salivary acidity, which affects the health of both teeth and gums. An alkaline diet maintains the proper ph balance of saliva, allowing the digestive processes to begin in the mouth to function optimally. Sugar cravings can be reduced or eliminated by following a few simple dietary guidelines.

Homeopathics, which are a powerful support to oral health and dental treatment, may also be used by your holistic dentist. Aconitum Napellus homeopathic pellets can be used to alleviate anxiety prior to treatment. To reduce the effects of anesthetics, homeopathic gels can be applied topically after procedures. Arnica and Traumeel, for example, can be applied topically to sore gum tissue.

Cosmetic Bonding for Tooth Structure Preservation: Metal fillings that are 15-20 years old can cause cracks in your teeth that eventually grow into fractures. It is not uncommon for old fillings to remain in place while the tooth structure crumbles around them. Metal fillings not only weaken tooth structure, but they also stain the underlying tooth black. It is best to remove old fillings before the tooth breaks and necessitates root canals, crowns, or caps.

Caps or crowns are sometimes unnecessary with bonding techniques because bonding helps to hold the tooth together rather than wedge it apart. Because of the bonding, we can be more conservative and remove less tooth structure. There are many tooth-colored filling materials available today that are both long-lasting and attractive.

Toxicity Elimination Products and Education for Your Dental Treatment, Dental Products, Your Home, and Your Environment: Limiting the harm caused by toxicity is now a hidden determinant of good health. Limiting toxicity may be as difficult as getting proper nutrition. Your body has the wisdom to convert whatever you feed it into nutrients it can use, but the immune system and organs of the body may break down over time as a result of cumulative toxicity.

Patients should be aware of the ingredients to avoid in toothpaste and mouthwash. Organic, effective, and tasty home dental care alternatives are becoming increasingly available. Your holistic dentist can inform you about the various ways in which toxic ingredients can be found in personal care and cleaning products, as well as food and medicine.

Knowing which ingredients to avoid and reading labels are two ways we can empower ourselves and our families to strive for good oral health and overall well-being. Another reason your holistic dentist is important in your community is that he or she educates and influences patients to live a more balanced lifestyle.
natural herbal nonihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06879305768205964666noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8536976333040938465.post-49675554673367890002023-01-10T02:04:00.016-08:002023-01-10T02:04:00.197-08:00Proven Snoring Prevention Methods

Snoring is less likely in people who sleep on their sides rather than their backs, according to experts.
